I'm new on this forum !

Let me introduce myself : i'm allan, from switzerland.
I'm doing ice racing with a fully prepared Coilt CC4A AWD swapped with the GTi engine (4g93 DOHC)
Here some pics of my ride :

My car had a lot of modifications :
-Car completely stripped
-5 points roll cage welded on
-Cobra racing seats
-RRS 5 points harness
-Hydraulic hand brake
-Front and rear Cusco strut brace
-Complete engine swap from an Colt GTI 1.8 DOHC
-Power steering pump removed
-4/2/1 exhaust manifold
-Complete exhaust line (a bit loud..)
-Massive air intake filter
-60 mm throttle body from Eclipse
-Complete refection and painted rear axle
-Air scoop form Subaru on the hood
-Fender flares from Proton Satri GTI

Now on process :
-Supercharging project with a root type supercharger
-Piggy back control to transform MAF to MAP (certainly with the DET 3)
-Complete set of coilovers for fine chassis tuning

I'm installing the DET3 Tuner piggy back on my car (first for removing the MAF and convert the engine to MAP), and second, to install my supercharger system.
is there anybody here, who had allready installed the DET3 on his car ?

Hi !
I've found a complete rear tranny from an EVO1.
Here my questions :
-What is the the final gear ratio of the the Colt AWD CC4a ?
-Can i swap the complete rear diffential and the shafts from the EVo1 to my Colt ?
-The rear tranny from the EVO1 is equipped with a Viscous differential unit inside, do we have the same in the the rear colt differential, or an open one ? How to check to be sure ?

As you can see, the final diff ratio is quite different (almost 30%)....
How to solve this ?

I've tried, but....tadam ! suprise !
The LSD is too big to fit in the open diff crown gear :-( and...the bolt pattern is different :cry:

In that case you need complete transmission (gearbox, transfer case, diff) from evo. Mind also that evo diff with lsd will need different rear axles.

PS. You can also find rear diff from colt cc4a with a built in LSD from factory. But probably it's easier to find a complete evo transmission. Also evo have stronger internals. Instead of evo search also for transmission from mitsubishi eclipse turbo 4x4. Some of them have also build in LSD from factory. I have one in my colt :)

Of course !
I've installed the DET3 piggyback/standalone ecu from Ecumaster, and emulated a MAF to MAP conversion.
It's quite simple : you need to wire a intake air temperature sensor , a coolant sensor, using the MAP sensor allready wired in the DET3.
After doing all the wires and connection between the Ecu and the DET3, plan to spend some hours on a track : you need to drive on all gears, all charges, in the whole range of the RPM range.
After acquiring all theses datas from the rolling road session, the DET3 do some witchcraft and emulate a MAP injection map.
It's done ! you can now unconnect the stock MAF sensor
